A 29-year-old transient was arrested Wednesday evening, May 20, after an officer found him inside of Burrito King with a bag of frozen onion rings stuffed in a pocket and a box of toothpicks in the other.
The officer was northbound on Third Street and approached Whitmore Avenue at 11:34 p.m. when he heard a burglar alarm at the restaurant. The officer saw that the front window had been smashed and snuck up and found Robert Naranjo rummaging through the shelves. Naranjo was held at gunpoint until other officers arrived. Naranjo was ordered to crawl back out of the broken window and arrested on burglary charges.
