Two homeless individuals were arrested Saturday afternoon on a vacated property they were trespassing on in the 1700 block of Myrtlewood Drive.

Police received a call at 12:19 p.m. from neighbors who saw a side gate open to the property which was declared unsafe to occupy on Sept. 1 by the Ceres Fire Dept. Officers found Curtis Malcom Farias, 45, and Corinna Christine Ameral, 34, in a backyard wooden shed which they broke into. Department spokesman Sgt. Jose Berber said they were living inside.

Both had outstanding warrants issued for their arrest for burglary by Santa Clara County law enforcement.

The person in charge of the property was summoned and wished to press trespassing charges against both. They were arrested on those charges and the warrants.
