Parolee arrested after short chase
Ceres Cop Car

A wanted Ceres parolee was arrested Thursday evening after he led officers on a short pursuit from his home in the 3700 block of Havenwood Way.

Michael James, 33, of Ceres, was wanted for violating the terms of his parole so officers were sent to his house at 10:11 p.m. to pick him up. As officers were standing in front of his residence, James rolled by in a rental truck. Officers jumped in their cars in an attempt to stop James but he ignored them and led a pursuit lasting several minutes. It ended on Brook Falls Court when James finally stopped. He was arrested without incident and was booked into the County Jail for recklessly evading a police officer and for a violation of parole.
