A suspect well known to Ceres Police, Brandon Cooksey, 47, of Ceres, was back in the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center, this time for being a parolee at large after he was seen throwing garbage around the Punjab Plaza at 3505 Central Avenue and refusing to leave.

The arrest came after Ceres police were called at 2:29 p.m. on Thursday, June 21.

Officer Eric Souza found Cooksey, pushing a bicycle with a trailer attached to it, still in front of the shopping center. He matched the description given on the phone of a white male adult wearing a gray shirt and red pants. Officer Souza learned that Cooksey was currently a parolee at large and had a confirmed felony parole hold for his arrest.
