A citizen report of a man in a parked car acting strangely led Ceres Police to make a drug arrest on a Salida parolee Monday morning.

At 8:17 a.m. Officer Jessica Graham was dispatched to the AM/PM at Ninth Street and Whitmore Avenue to find the suspicious man parked at the store.

Officer Graham contacted Albert Gonzalez, 37, of Salida, who appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Because he was found on parole, Officer Graham searched Gonzalez and his vehicle and located a glass methamphetamine smoking pipe.

Gonzalez was arrested and booked for possession of drug paraphernalia and parole violations.
