Ernesto Gonzalez, 21, of Ceres, was booked into the County Jail for driving while under the influence, driving on a suspended license after he collided with a parked car as he was driving while intoxicated.

The crash occurred at Boothe Road and Suffolk Drive at 1:42 a.m. on Saturday, March 11. Officer Kevin Sakasegawa located the red Honda that collided with a parked car. Gonzalez appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Sakasegawa questioned Gonzalez and found he had taken several prescription medications before driving the Honda to a friend's house to find his cell phone. The officer Sakasegawa had the driver complete several field sobriety tests and determined he was driving under the influence of prescribed medication.

After completing a blood draw, he was booked for two charges along with a charge of probation violation and two misdemeanor warrants for driving on a suspended license.
