A 36-year-old Ceres man who was being pulled over for a traffic violation made on his Suzuki motorcycle led Ceres Police on a short pursuit which ended in his arrest Saturday evening.

The incident began at 7:24 p.m. when Officer Aaron Pinon attempted to stop Kevin Ibarrola after seeing him leave the roadway to pass a vehicle on the right side near Hatch Road and Crowslanding Avenue. After Officer Pinon activated his emergency lights and siren, Ibarrola sped off and led Officer Pinon and other officers on a pursuit. The motorcyclist turned onto southbound Highway 99 and eventually stopped on the freeway at Keyes Road. Ibarrola was arrested for attempting to evade an officer by vehicle and was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
