Suspect found with E.R. Vine & Sons property

A suspicious looking man who was wandering in the 2800 block of Railroad Avenue early on the morning of Monday, Feb. 2 was found to have just committed a burglary of a nearby commercial yard.

Ceres Police Department spokesman Sgt. Pat Crane said Clifford Harvey, 28, of Sonora, was spotted at 1:44 a.m. and stopped. He was in possession of burglary tools and paperwork that belonged to someone else. An investigation revealed that Harvey allegedly just got done breaking into the commercial yard of E.R. Vine & Sons and broke into trucks stored there. Other than the paperwork, Harvey was in possession of miscellaneous hand tools. He was arrested for possession of stolen property and petty theft.
