Suspicious actions lead to drug arrest
Ceres Cop Car

A Boise, Idaho woman was arrested Sunday afternoon after an officer checked on three people acting suspicious in a parked car in the 2600 block of Lawrence Street.

Officer Charles Rushing checked out the occupants at 2:17 p.m. and learned through a records check that one of them was on parole. When Officer Rushing announced he was going to conduct a parole search of the car, a woman in the front passenger seat became argumentative. The female passenger, Kathrin Burchardt, 29, of Boise Idaho, appeared to be trying to hide something under her seat so Rushing had her step out of the vehicle. A search turned up a small baggie containing methamphetamine and a glass pipe under Kathrin's seat. Burchardt admitted the pipe and methamphetamine were hers and she was booked for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
