Teen arrested for breaking into cars

A 19-year-old Ceres man was arrested Wednesday morning, July 17 after attempting to break into vehicles in the 2900 block of McCord Way.

At 9:08 a.m. Ceres Police Officer Jonathon Blount was dispatched to the area after someone said two males were attempting to break into vehicles. While on the way, the officer was notified that a citizen was in a fight with one of the suspects in the 3100 block of Farris Avenue. The officer arrived and detained Brandon Senseney, 19, of Ceres. The other man was detained by officers but later released.

Surveillance video showed the two males had opened the door to an unlocked vehicle in the 2900 block of McCord Way but nothing was taken.

Senseney was found to have a shaved key, marijuana and a controlled prescription medication (Xanax) in his possession. He was placed under arrest for possession of these items.
