Trespasser, armed with knife, arrested

A 21-year-old Ceres man wearing all black and armed with a throwing knife was arrested Saturday evening after he was caught jumping into backyards in the vicinity of Ceres High School.

At 10:01 p.m., Officer Bill Carter was dispatched to the 2300 block of Third Street about a man with a backpack who got into a backyard and was seen jumping the fence into the Ceres High School parking lot area. As they combed the school grounds he jumped into a backyard in the 2300 block of Fourth Street where he was apprehended.

Michael Murillo was searched and found with a metal throwing knife with a fixed blade and sharp on both ends. He was arrested and booked for carrying a concealed dirk or dagger and loitering on private property.
