Two men were arrested Monday, Dec. 22 after they were seen leaving a vacant trailer in Homestead Mobile Home Park at 2513 Don Pedro Road.
Police dispatchers were called at 9:49 a.m. about four men gathered inside Trailer #17. As officers rolled up on scene, two men were walking out the front door. They were Brian James Coker, 34, and Shaun Neuman Jr., 19, both of Ceres. When they spotted police, Coker yelled to someone inside the trailer and began to run southwest through the park. Neuman also ran as did two others who finally ran out of the trailer.
The dispatch center filled with calls about men running through back yards.
Officers found Neuman in front of space #1 and arrested him on charges of possession of a controlled substance.
Coker was found hiding in a backyard in the 3900 block of Collins Road. He was searched and found with a baggie filled with crystal methamphetamine and told the officer, "I didn't know that was in there." He was booked possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.
After the two arrests, officers searched the trailer and found property relating to two separate burglaries in Patterson. When the burglary reports were taken, witnesses mentioned a silver Honda Accord possibly involved. Ceres officers found a silver Honda Accord parked parallel to the railroad tracks at 2513 Don Pedro and inside were licenses linked to the two Patterson burglaries. Detectives are seeking the owner of Honda for questioning.
Anyone with information on the two suspects who at large is asked to tip off police by calling Ceres Police Detectives Bureau at 538-5727.
