Ceres Cop Car

Two occupants of a car stopped in the 1600 block of Herndon Road on Sunday evening were arrested after they gave false names to the officer.

Officer Miguel Villalobos pulled over the car at 11:50 p.m. and both occupants reportedly gave false identities. He quickly determined that the names belonged to real people but not the two who were detained.

The woman, who later proved to be Antoinette Torres, 25, of Modesto, had in her purse morphine pills that were not prescribed to her and a hypodermic syringe loaded with methamphetamine. She was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and giving a false ID to a police officer.

Driver Dominiq Britt, 26, of Modesto, was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license and giving a false ID to a police officer.
