Ceres Police are searching for a man and woman who robbed Sally Beauty Supply at 1633 E. Hatch Road at gunpoint on Saturday evening.

The robbery occurred prior to 6:30 p.m.

Ceres Police Department spokesman Sgt. Greg Yotsuya said the female suspect posed as a shopper until all customers left. She had filled a basket of expensive hair straightener and blow dryers. A man entered the store wearing a gray-colored hooded sweatshirt, black beanie and jacket, acknowledged the woman by asking, “You ready?” She replied she was and he pulled a handgun and pointed it at the two clerks.

The suspects ordered the clerks to the rear of the store, took the business keys from the clerks and took money out of the safe and register. The suspects threatened to kill the clerks if they called police. The suspects left the store and were last seen west bound on Hatch Road in a small black sedan.

The male suspect was described as a light-color skinned Hispanic male, standing approximately 5-foot-10, skinny build, with an acne-scarred face. The woman was described as a light-complected Hispanic female, approximately 5-foot-5, 190 pounds with brown hair. She wore a bright blue hooded sweater with white lettering across the chest, dark blue ripped jeans, and black sandals with white and gray socks.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to contact Detective Trinidad Viramontes at 538-5730.
