Food-4-Less decided not to press charges against Robert Nenstiel-Taylor, 49, of Modesto, who stole an energy drink and lemon bunt cake but he was jailed anyway on Friday because of a drug related warrant for his arrest.

At 1:03 p.m. the store on Mitchell Road reported the theft to Ceres Police who then went searching for the suspect. Officer Eric Souza found the suspect behind the combination A&W and Kentucky Fried Chicken on Hatch Road.

Robert Nenstiel-Taylor, 49, of Modesto, was in possession of the energy drink and lemon bunt cake, both of which were half consumed.

The store declined to prosecute but instructed the suspect to stay out of the business.

Nenstiel-Taylor was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for the warrant.
