Warrants land driver in jail
Ceres Cop Car

A traffic stop made in the 3100 block of Farris Avenue resulted in a big catch for Ceres Police Officer Brian Peterson on Tuesday evening, Aug. 23.

In the 10:05 p.m. car stop, driver Sean Ashton, 39, of Modesto, told Peterson that he did not have his license on him. Petersen took the driver's information and asked dispatchers to verify the information. When Ashton's name was run in the computer system it was learned that he had a felony arrest warrant from the Fresno Police Department worth $1.6 million and a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest from the Visalia Police Department with a bail amount of $25,000.

Sean was arrested and transported to jail where he was booked for the warrants.
