Woman faces second arson charge in two months
Ceres Cop Car

A 35-year-old transient woman faces charges that she deliberately set fire to vegetation next to the mobile home park at 3700 Collins Road on Saturday evening.

Witnesses gave police clues that led to the arrest of Misty Ary, 35, of Ceres, outside the Industrial Market at 2030 Industrial Way, a day later. Three witnesses all positively identified Ary as the person who set the fire at 9:32 p.m.

Ary said she was in the area of Collins Road and Railroad Avenue at the time of the fire but denied starting the fire.

Ary was on misdemeanor probation and had been arrested last month for an arson case at 1182 San Pedro Avenue. She was booked on charges of arson and probation violation.
