A 15-year-old boy sustained serious injuries on Labor Day when he was struck by a car while he was crossing Hackett Road at Morgan Road on a bicycle.

At 2:16 p.m. the boy moved into the path of a westbound 2010 Honda driven by Elicia Narango, 18, of Ceres, and rolled up across the hood and into the windshield.

He was rushed to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto where he was reportedly suffering from bleeding in the brain. Sgt. Jose Berber of the Ceres Police Department said that the injuries are not expected to be life threatening.
