Ceres Library offers cure for kids summer boredom
Tie-dye, magician, necklaces part of free activities in Ceres

The Ceres Library will host free programs for children and teens this July, beginning with Wee Move and Play on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. This program features unstructured playtime for toddlers and preschoolers, during which they can enjoy movement and sensory play.

Each child can Paint a Suncatcher Necklace on Thursday, July 7 at 3:30 p.m. Children ages and 5 and under are welcome to participate, however they must have direct parental supervision. This craft is sponsored by the Friends of the Ceres Library.

Children and their families are invited to enjoy a free magic show as performed by Magic Dan on Saturday, July 9 at 11 a.m. This show promotes education while entertaining audiences with magic tricks.

The library will offer a tie-dye craft on Thursday, July 14 at 3:30 p.m. Children and teens can bring a white T-shirt to the library to turn into a tie-dyed fashion statement. Tie-Dye at the Library is sponsored by the Friends of the Ceres Library.

Children and teens can take part in a Perler Bead Craft on Thursday, July 21 at 3:30 p.m. Crafters can use the colorful beads to create unique designs. When heat is applied, the Perler beads fuse together, preserving each crafter's design.

The library will host a party on Thursday, July 28 at 3:30 p.m. in celebration of the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling and Jack Thorne. Children and teens can make potions, craft Winged Keys, and search for Horcruxes. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Ceres Library.
