The Ceres Chamber of Commerce has applied to Caltrans to designate Highway 99 from Faith Home Road to Hatch Road overpasses to make it the Ceres Chamber's Adopt-A-Highway segment.

"We're waiting for Caltrans to get back to us with an approval," Renee Ledbetter, president of the Ceres Chamber told the Ceres City Council last week. "If that does get approved we will be looking to the community for volunteers to start cleaning us Ceres."

The Chamber board also talked about a program whereby volunteers would regularly clean up entrances into Ceres.
"We have a lot of different projects that are coming down the pipeline and our (Chamber) board is just rolling up their sleeves and getting to work. I love it. It's fun. It's exciting."

She invited the council and community to stay abreast of Chamber projects and activities by visiting www.cereschamber.com.
