CHS senior Singh honored by Rotarians
Jasandeep Singh honored
Ceres High School senior Jasandeep Singh (holding plaque) was honored Friday by the Ceres Rotary Club. The Rotary Club of Ceres and Ceres High School recognized Jasandeep Singh as a Rotary “Student of the Month” during its Friday gathering.

Jasandeep is a student whose achievements and character exemplify the values of this honor. He has maintained over a 4.0 grade point average throughout high school and will graduate with honors next June. In addition to his academic excellence, he has been a member of the Ceres High track team all four years.

Jasandeep is the vice president and co-founder of the Sikh Honor and Service Society Club, an organization that promotes cultural awareness, service, and inclusion on the Ceres High School campus. Additionally, he actively participates in community service at the Sikh Temple, giving his time and energy to support others.

The senior’s drive to lead and serve is reflected in his participation in the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards training program, where he strengthened his leadership skills and passion for helping others. Fluent in three languages, Singh utilizes his communication skills to connect and support his peers who are new to the country and learning the language.

Jasandeep is considered by many to be respectful, humble and admirable. He is deemed a young man with a sincere passion for giving back to his community and country. His kindness and integrity match his determination and ambition. He has enlisted in the U.S. Army.
