If you put your trust into five-day forecasts, it looks like the Ceres Street Faire may be held under overcast skies with a minor chance of rain. Have no fear as the Ceres Street Faire has long ago adopted a "rain or shine" format.

As of press deadline, the weather.com website called for a high of 72 degrees on Saturday and a mostly cloudy forecast with a 20 percent chance of rain. Sunday's forecast predicted a warmer day at 76 and similar "mostly cloudy" conditions and a humidity level of 68 percent.

Ceres Street Faire Committee are hoping that it doesn't rain on their parade, which will start at 10 a.m. from Moffet Road and Acorn Lane and run down Whitmore Avenue toward downtown Ceres where the Street Faire is held. The judge's stand and VIP seating area will be at the northwest corner of Whitmore and Moffet. Saturday is also the day for the Street Faire Car Show on Fourth Street between Magnolia and North streets.

Also starting at 10 a.m. Saturday the Faire will include arts and crafts booths, commercial booths, food booths operated by non-profit Ceres groups, live local entertainment and fun things for kids to do in the park.
Festivities end at 6 p.m. Saturday.

The fun continues on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Entry into the car show costs $25 for pre-registration or $35 at the event. The show is open to all makes and models of vehicles and 10 show awards will be given.
