December events offered at the Ceres Library

The Ceres Library is offering free crafts, activities, and a book club program this December, beginning with Puzzle Night on Monday, Dec. 4 from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. All ages are invited to relax and enjoy a variety of puzzles provided by the library. Light refreshments will be served.

Wee Move and Play will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, Dec. 6 and 20. This program features unstructured playtime for toddlers and preschoolers, during which they can enjoy movement and sensory play.

The library will host a LEGO Day on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 3:30 p.m. Children will have the opportunity to build LEGO creations that will then be displayed in the library. Children 4 and under are welcome to participate, however, they must have direct parental supervision. LEGO Day is sponsored by the Friends of the Ceres Library.

In celebration of the latest Star Wars movie release the library will offer a Star Wars themed craft at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14. All ages can design their own droids using provided paper materials.

All ages are invited to decorate cookies at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21. The library will provide cookies and tasty treats with which to decorate the cookies. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Ceres Library.

The Ceres Library Book Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 27. Participants will discuss Prayers for Sale by Sandra Dallas.

Children can craft small snowmen at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28. Crafters will use socks to make this winter craft. All materials will be provided. This craft is sponsored by the Friends of the Ceres Library.
