Local church to live stream National Day of Prayer event
National Day of Prayer

Ceres Seventh-day Adventist Church will live stream a one-hour National Day of Prayer event at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 7 through its YouTube channel.

Church members will be turning their hearts to God as a community to receive comfort in this time of need. All are invited to tune in and enjoy lively patriotic songs, a dynamic and inspiring message from Pastor David Hudgens designed to lift spirits. There will be a time of prayer for the country and personal prayer requests texted to (209) 214-8554.

The church’s YouTube channel may be found by searching for its name, Ceres Seventh-day Adventist Church.

On Thursday, May 7, millions across the nation will be taking time out of their daily schedules to intercede on behalf of their communities, their nation, and their leaders.

Each year, people gather across the nation at more than 60,000 local community events to pray together for America on the National Day of Prayer, the annual national observance established in public law in 1952 and observed publicly on the first Thursday in May.

Due to the coronavirus crisis and resulting economic shutdown, this year’s National Day of Prayer will not be canceled nor postponed – but will look very different from years past.
