The public is invited to come by the Tuolumne River Lodge, 2429 River Road,  Thursday, April 11 for the Persephone Guild’s Taste of Italy pasta dinner from 5 p.m. to7 p.m.

Tickets are $10 person or $7 for children 10 and under and available from Persephone Guild members. Take-out dinners will be available.

Dinner consists of pasta, salad, bread, dessert, and beverage. There will also be a silent auction during the dinner. Tickets will also be available for the annual Persephone Guild drawing of a king/queen size quilt handmade by Guild members in beautiful multi-colored batiks. It is on display in the Ceres Community Center through March.

The Persephone Guild is an 80-year-old organization of Ceres women that gather socially in order to benefit the local community. The 501(c) (3) organization raises funds for local causes such as scholarships at Ceres High School and Central Valley High School, Thanksgiving baskets for needy families, the police department Christmas toy drive. Proceeds stay in the community.
