Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. today at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock, for Adeline Souza, 86, of Turlock. The former Hughson woman died Jan. 8, 2010.

A recitation of the Rosary will follow at 6 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Ave., Turlock.

Entombment will be private at Chapel of the Flowers Mausoleum at Turlock Memorial Park.

Born May 6, 1924 in Keyes, Adeline attended Hughson schools. She married Manuel S. Souza in 1941 and settled in Turlock. With her husband she owned and operated Manuel S. Souza Dairy and the Diamond Hay Company. Mrs. Souza was a member of Sacred Heat Catholic Church in Turlock. Adeline loved and was dedicated to her family and was always involved with their activities.

She leaves behind two sons, Ray Souza and John Souza; her sister, Lorraine Martins; two grandchildren, Jaymilyn Barandica, John Souza Jr.; and her great grandchild, Dominic Barandica. She was preceded in death by husband Manuel S. Souza, twin infant daughters, Rosemary and Virginia Souza, brothers Manuel Teixeira and Frank Teixeira, and sister Emily Damas.
