A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel in Modesto for Anita Gaye Crossland McGuire, 68, of Modesto. She died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004 at Evergreen Rehabilitation Care Center.
Burial will be at Ceres Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday at the chapel.
Born Sept. 30, 1936, Mrs. McGuire was a native of Caney, Okla., and had lived in Modesto since 1989. She previously lived in Stockton for 52 years. Mrs. McGuire was an office worker for 18 years at Dameron Hospital in Stockton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ceres and the Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. McGuire was active in women's ministries, and enjoyed crocheting and cooking.
She leaves behind her husband, James T. McGuire of Modesto; five children, Vickie Allman of Valley Springs, Bill Cartwright of Ceres, Tina Marie Mekel of Lancaster, Thomas McGuire of Oregon and Tammera McGuire Bradshaw of Washington; her brother, Clyde Crossland of Stockton; her sister, Karen Sue Bussell of Idaho; and 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
