Allen Mortuary was in charge of arrangements for Anne Irene Lowell, 89, of Modesto. She died July 29, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Born November 1921 in Texas to Henry and Nettie Wilhelm. The family moved to Ceres in 1935 and then to Hilmar in 1937. Anne graduated from Hilmar High School, and had lived in Hilmar until 2007, when she moved to Modesto.
She leaves behind her son, James H. Lowell III of San Francisco; her brother, Bob Wilhelm; and 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by children Janette Lowell, Betty Lowell and Fred Lowell, and five sisters.
