A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum in Modesto for Barbara Louise Pratt Richards, 75, of Turlock. She died Friday, March 12, 2004 at Hale-Aloha Convalescent Hospital in Ceres.

The Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs in Modesto is in charge of arrangements.

Born May 5, 1928, Ms. Richards was a native of Raton, N.M., and lived in Turlock for 60 years. She retired as a chief operator at Pacific Bell after 20 years. Mrs. Richards was a member of the Catholic Church.

She leaves behind two children, Layman "Larry" Ray Richards of Modesto and ReyAnn Richards of Turlock; two sisters, Phyllis Outzen of San Mateo and Carol Crowley of Modesto; and seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
