A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 18 at Lakewood Memorial Park for Beatrice Agnes Ryno Gaede, 96, of Ceres.

She was born near Beulah, Missouri to Sam and Mary Malissa Bray Ryno, as the oldest of five children. She married Ward L. Gaede of Bloodland, Mo., in 1941. They had two children, Samuel (Ella) Gaede and Mary Bonita (David) Comer. In 1947 they moved to Ceres where she lived the rest of her life. Ward preceded her in death in 2001, just one month short of their 60th wedding anniversary.

Bea (“Granny” as she is affectionately known by her family) and Ward “Pop” loved to spend time at their cabin which they built themselves. At the cabin they would cut wood and enjoyed spending time with their growing family hunting, fishing, and exploring. They also loved to go to garage sales to look for things their family members needed, and Granny loved to work in her yard or read while Pop watched the Cardinals play baseball. A Christian of strong faith who loved Jesus, Granny was a member of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church.

Granny enjoyed excellent health all of her life, until she finally slowed down the last few years and went to live with her granddaughter and her husband, Teri and Arthur Nugent, who lovingly cared for her until she left this world for her eternal home on her 96th birthday.

She is survived by her two children, Samuel (Ella) Gaede and Mary Bonita (David) Comer; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Granny was preceded in death by husband Ward, her parents, and four siblings.
