A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Salas Brothers Funeral Home in Modesto for Carolyn Duncan, 54, of Modesto. She died Jan. 15, 2009 at her home after a battle with cancer.

Born June 28, 1954, Carolyn was a native of Modesto. She worked for Tri Valley Growers for 25 years and in 2008 she became a manager at the Gallo brandy plant in Modesto. Carolyn enjoyed gardening, interior design, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and riding on their Harley Davidson motorcycle with her husband. Mrs. Duncan was a participant in the annual Relay for Life, a American Cancer Society fundraiser. Carolyn was known to her family and friends as "Sunshine" because of her warmth, her caring, cheerful smile, and free spirit.

She leaves behind her husband, Keith Duncan of Modesto; four children, Ti Azevedo and Levi Azevedo, both of Modesto, Cheyene Azevedo of Reno, Nev., and Erin Keeney of Waterford; her brother, Ronnie Flood of Modesto; her grandchildren, Ti Azevedo Jr. of Modesto, Taylor Azevedo of Chico, Ronin Azevedo of Reno, and Nathaniel Keeney and Lundyn Keeney, both of Waterford; and her surrogate mom, Geri Ottersbach of Ceres.
