A graveside service was held Tuesday morning at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella for Cecil Wayne Taylor, 57, of Ceres. He died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005.

Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Born April 16, 1947, Mr. Taylor was a native of Arkansas and lived in Ceres for 57 years. He was a truck driver and a member of Revival Center United Pentecostal Church.

Mr. Taylor leaves behind his wife, Carolyn Taylor of Ceres; four children, Gerald Taylor, Stanford Taylor and Rosie Gowen, all of Modesto, and Lori Valverde of Empire; two stepchildren, Eric Hackett of Modesto and Jim Hackett of Ceres; two sisters, Cissy Keeran of Modesto and Pamela Evans of Ceres; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanford and Florence Taylor.
