A celebration of life will be held privately at a later date for Charles Joseph Genzoli, 58, of Hughson. He died of a heart attack on Aug. 18, 2007 at his home.

Born Aug. 14, 1949, Mr. Genzoli was a native of Turlock and attended Sacred Heart Elementary, Hughson High School and Modesto Junior College. He enlisted in the Navy in 1968 and was stationed aboard the USS Enterprise until his discharge in 1972. Mr. Genzoli married his high school sweetheart, Pam Aldrich in September 1972. He began farming peaches and later, almonds on the family ranch.

He enjoyed "tinkering" in his shop and was always willing to lend a hand to others who stopped by for advice, mechanical repairs or just visit. He enjoyed making wind chimes, playing billiards with friends and raising finches in his aviary.

He leaves behnd his wife, Pam Genzoli of Hughson; his daughters, Emily Genzoli and Melissa Genzoli; his four sisters, Phyllis Genzoli of Walnut Creek, Marilynn Uyeda of Martinez, and Carol Dillon and Dyan Hollenhorst, both of Hughson; and three brothers, Brian Genzoli of Turlock, and David Genzoli and Steven Genzoli, both of Hughson.

Remembrances may be sent to the Charlie Genzoli Memorial Fund at Bank of the West in Hughson, benefitting valley cancer treatment centers.
