A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Ceres Christian Church for Christyl Jeaniece Broyles-Mayer, 38, of Ceres. She died Dec. 11, 2009 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson due to complications with cancer.

Christyl spent much of her adult life living in Sacramento, Fremont, and most recently in Chandler, Ariz. She was an administrative assistant for most of her career and worked for the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company. She was the administrative assistant for the district supervisor of Sprint/Nextel in the Arizona area. After her lay-off from Sprint she moved to Ceres where she lived with her father. Christyl was a member of Ceres Christian Church where her father is a pastor.

She leaves behind her son, Jacob Mayer of San Jose; her father, David Broyles of Ceres; her stepmother, Paula Broyles of Ceres; her sister, Rebecca Broyles of Southern California; an "adopted" sister, Patti Robinson of Ceres; and two brothers, Michael Durbin of Whitehouse, Texas and Matthew Durbin of Victorville. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pamela Broyles in November of 2008.

Remembrances may be sent to Hospice House of Hughson, or Ceres Christian Church.
