Visitation will be at Allen Mortuary in Turlock from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday for Dale Irvin Merryman, 69, of Hughson. He died at home Sept. 13, 2009 with his family by his side.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Allen Mortuary with burial following at Turlock Memorial Park.

Born in August 1940, in San Jose to Raymond and Ruth Merryman, Dale moved to Turlock when he was nine years old, and he had lived in Hughson for 43 years. He was married to Marie Tindell for 44 years. Dale was a leadman fork lift operator for Gallo Glass for 33 years. He attended Sunrise Christian Church in Turlock. He enjoyed running, being outdoors and the mountains.

He leaves behind his wife Marie Merryman of Hughson; his children Deborah Merryman, Glenn Merryman, and Adam Merryman, all of Hughson; two brothers, Ronald Merryman of Oakdale, and Jerry Merryman of Alturas; and his sister, Barbara Enright of Arcata; and two grandchildren, Amanda and Natalie.
