A funeral was held Tuesday morning at Church of Christ in Hughson for David Keith House, 58, of Joplin, Mo. He died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004.

Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park under the direction of Eaton Family Funeral Home.

Born April 29, 1945, Mr. House was a native of McCallister, Okla., and lived in Joplin for five years. He previously in the Modesto and Hughson area for 52 years. He was a musician, playing guitar and singing country music. Mr. House previously was employed by the California Highway Patrol for three years. He attended the Church of Christ in Hughson. Mr. House was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed training horses.

He leaves behind two children, David Keith House Jr. of Splendora, Texas, and Cordelia Garyn House of Ceres; six brothers, George House Jr., Orville D. House and Jerry House, all of Hughson, Don House of Denair, Joe House of Manteca and Herman C. House of Carmichael; six sisters, H. Kathleen House-Sharp and Patricia Jones, both of Modesto, Norma Duval of Denair, Irma Rapier of Carmichael, Doris Allsup of Riverbank and Mary Miller of Fresno; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by one sister.
