A Celebration of Life was held Friday at Monte Vista Chapel in Turlock for Donald Lee Lambert, 75, of Ballico. He died Jan. 12, 2009 after a seven-year battle against melanoma.

Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park under the arrangements of Lakewood Funeral Home.

Born Jan. 27, 1933, Don was born in Modesto to Wylie Joseph Lambert and Lou Alice Singleton Lambert, the youngest of four sons. He was raised in Hickman and he attended Hughson High School before joining the service in 1950. In December 1955 he married Margueriete Jones Lambert. Don was an avid toy collector. Mr. Lambert worked in trucking, and then construction at Don Lambert & Sons. The past 14 years he was employed at Gold Hills Nut Company in Ballico.

He leaves behind his wife, Margueriete Lambert of Ballico; his children, Brad Lambert of Ballico, Jeff Lambert of Hughson, Blake Lambert of Winnemucca, Nev., and his Jill Zehrung of Denair; his brother, John Lambert of Waterford; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by newborn son Donald Anthony Lambert.
