A graveside service was held Monday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Doris H. Burton Abts, 84, of Hughson. She died Sunday, May 8, 2005 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House at Samaritan Village in Hughson.
The McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements.
Born June 26, 1920, Mrs. Abts was a native of Omaha, Neb., and lived in Hughson for six months. She previously lived in Oroville for 59 years. Mrs. Abts was a registered nurse and a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Oroville.
She leaves behind three children, Sandra Clark of Modesto, Dr. Thomas Abts of San Diego and Suzanne Palm of Montclair, Va.; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
