A funeral service was held Wednesday at St. Anthony's Church in Hughson for Earl Rathbun, 77, of Hughson. He died Oct. 19, 2011.
Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park under the direction of Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Rathbun was born April 3, 1934. He was married to Marjorie right after high school and together they raised four children. For 25 years he was employed with U.S. Tire in downtown Modesto. Mr. Rathbun was a past Grand Knight of the Hughson Council #3604 Knights of Columbus. Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and watching Sunday football games.
He leaves behind three children, Terry Martinez, Sharon Rathbun, and Dennis Rathbun; his brother, Larry Rathbun; a sister, Nell Powell; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
