A celebration of life is planned for later for Elizabeth "Boo" Ann Dudley, 79, of Ceres. She died April 24, 2009 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House.

Elizabeth was born July 11, 1929 in Chicago, Ill., to Dwight and Dolly Goodrich. She married Walter Dudley in 1948 and raised four children in the Ceres area. She enjoyed traveling in their fifth-wheeler and touring Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico and Canada. They were planning an Alaskan cruise when Walt became too ill to travel and died in 2005 after 56 years of marriage. Mrs. Dudley was known for her sense of humor and was often characterized as the life of the party. She enjoyed dancing, singing, synchronized swimming, cooking and expressing herself through art. She also had a passion for gardening and making beautiful things out of junk.

She leaves behind her children, Gari Sperry of Ceres, Rob Dudley of Prineville, Ore., Craig Dudley of Ceres, and Scott Dudley of Atwater; her brother, Charles Goodrich of Modesto; her sister, Sally Sughrue of Hughson; and nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Remembrances may be sent to the Alexander Cohen Hospice House, 2201 Euclid Ave., Hughson, CA 95326.
