A funeral was held Monday morning at Lakewood Funeral Home for Elton Marvin Hackett, 68, of Manteca. He died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004 at his home.

Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Born March 26, 1935, Mr. Hackett was a native of Ceres and lived in Manteca for 32 years. He was a self-employed farmer and had also worked as a truck driver for 40 years.

He leaves behind his two children, Marvin Hackett of Tracy and Sharon Brown of Milwaukie, Ore.; his mother, Tammer Hackett of Modesto; his brother, Elmer Hackett of Modesto; three sisters, Darlene Rhetts of Manteca, Ellen Bomar of Modesto and Esther Cranford of Ceres; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Hackett, and one brother.
