A funeral service was held Tuesday morning at New Life Temple for Evelyn Torrez Gonzalez, 62, of Turlock. She died Friday, May 20, 2005 at Emanuel Medical Center.
Burial was at Turlock Memorial Park under the direction of Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson.
Born July 14, 1942, Mrs. Gonzalez was a native of Canoga Park and lived in Turlock for 25 years. She had retired from a career as a registered nurse at Emanuel Medical Center. She was a member of New Life Temple.
She leaves behind four children, Louise Pena, Mario Pena and Tino Pena, all of Turlock, and John Gonzalez of Ceres; two sisters, Lorraine Chavez of Turlock and Faye Chavez of Ceres; and 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
