A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Burwood Cemetery, 28320 E. River Road, Escalon, for Floyd Dee Holly Jr., 79, of Ceres. He died Jan. 31, 2010 peacefully surrounded by family and friends.

Born Jan. 7, 1931, Mr. Holly was a proud veteran who worked as a barber and in construction before retiring from Weyerhauser in 1996.

He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Wanda Holly of Ceres; his three children, Kim Tanner of Modesto, Floyd Holly III of Ceres, and Tony Holly of Newport, Ore.; his brother, Albert Holly of Modesto; and two sisters, Mettie Barrett of Modesto and Mary Dooley of Ceres; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by parents Floyd and Hazel Holly and brother Delbert Holly.
