A funeral service was held Tuesday at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel for George Lair, 43, of Turlock. He died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005 in a freeway accident between Ceres and Keyes.
Burial was at Turlock Memorial Park.
Born April 17, 1962, Mr. Lair was a native of Placerville and a lifelong resident of Turlock. He was an auto mechanic and enjoyed working on cars.
Mr. Lair leaves behind six children, Matthew E. Lair, Joey A. Ring, Christopher S. Lair, George S. Lair, Jason A. Lair and Ashley J. Lair, all of Turlock; his brother, Reuben E. Lair of Yakima, Wash.; five sisters, Sheryl Crawford of Nevada, Debbie McReynolds and Judy V. Hess, both of Turlock, Deniece Hoffman of Mariposa and Delores Yates of Denair; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and three brothers and a sister.
