George Oki

A funeral service was held Monday at the Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs for George Oki, 80, of Ceres. He died of natural causes on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

Burial was at Ceres Memorial Park.

Born July 3, 1924, Mr. Oki is a native of Yuba City and lived in Ceres for 58 years. He was in the Army's 442nd Infantry Division during World War II, serving in Italy. Mr. Oki was a farmer for 50 years.

He leaves behind his wife, Yukie Oki of Ceres; two children, Glenn Oki of Ceres and Emily Kenerly of Modesto; his sister, Mary Matsunage of San Francisco; and one grandchild.
