A Mass celebrated the life of Geraldine "Tootsie" Pellegrino, 72, of Modesto, on Saturday at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Modesto. The former Hughson resident died Feb. 17, 2009 at her home.
The Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements.
Born April 19, 1936, Tootsie was a native of Chicago, Ill, and moved to Hughson in 1946. She moved to Modesto in 1998 with her sister and her husband who cared for her until her death. Tootsie was a member of YLI, and participated in the Hughson Senior Citizens Program.
She leaves behind her sister, Jean Varni of Modesto; and her first cousin, Clifford Yuknis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Stella Pellegrino.
