A service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Modesto for Gerrett Eugene Zuiderduin, 76, of Modesto. He died Feb. 5, 2008.
Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Born April 3, 1931, Mr. Zuiderduin was a native of Merced and a resident of Modesto since 1970. He served in the Navy from 1951 to 1954. Mr. Zuiderduin was a mechanic for the Keyes School District for 12 years. He was employed at PG&E as garage supervisorn for many years in various locations.
A member of Prescott Bible Church, Mr. Zuiderduin enjoyed bowling, working on cars and sports.
He leaves behind his wife, Dorothy Zuiderduin of Modesto; four daughters, Tina Claussen of Riverbank, Tracy Escatel of Newman, Cindi Zuiderduin and Charlott Escatel, both of Modesto; his sister, Reta Moore of Merced; and eight grandchildren, Rueben, Eli, Zachary, Jacob, Stephanie, Josslyn, Caleb and Tyler. He was preceded in death by son Eric.
