A funeral service was held on May 14 at Bethel Church in Modesto for Greg Thornhill Wallace, 24, of Modesto. He died May 6, 2009 as the result of as act of violence.
Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Born Sept. 1, 1984, Greg was a Modesto resident since birth, attending Shackelford Elementary and Hanshaw Middle School in South Modesto and Downey High School in Modesto. He was a graduate of Pace in 2003. Mr. Wallace started working when he was 14 and was employed by Gilton Solid Waste as a mechanic for the past three years. Greg was known for always willing to help if his family and friends needed something. He loved fixing up his truck and was a member of Forgotten Souls Truck Club.
He leaves behind his parents, Danny and Esther Wallace of Modesto; his brother, Danny Wallace Jr., of Modesto; two sisters, Angel Padilla and Erica Wallace, both of Modesto; his girlfriend, Desiree Johnson and his daughter, Alexis, of Turlock. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his brother Jesse.
