Ignacio Santillan

A Mass was held Monday at St. Jude's Catholic Church for Ignacio Sida Santillan, 82, of Ceres. He died of natural causes on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005 at Garden City Healthcare Center.

Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park under the direction of Lakewood Funeral Home.

Born Oct. 20, 1923, Mr. Santillan was a native of El Paso, Texas, and lived in Ceres for 30 years. He previously resided in Modesto for 18 years. He was a metal men in body and fender work in the automotive industry. Mr. Santillan belonged to the Knights of Columbus and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed farming, traveling and spending time with his family.

He leaves behind his wife, Laura Santillan of Ceres; two daughters, Christine Santillan and Mary Helen Magdalena, both of Modesto; his brother, Ralph Santillan of Glendora; his sister, Mary Sneed of San Moreno; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
