A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Irma Tucker Boyd, 77, of Ceres. She died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005 at Hale Aloha Convalescent Hospital in Ceres.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs.

Born Dec. 1, 1928, Mrs. Boyd was a native of Pauls Valley, Okla., and had lived in Ceres since 1938. She was a homemaker and member of Lawrence Street Church of Christ. Mrs. Boyd was a Cub Scout den mother and served as treasurer of the VFW Auxiliary Post 10293. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking and canning.

Mrs. Boyd leaves behind her husband, Bill Boyd of Ceres; four children, Betty King of Modesto, Billy D. Boyd and Brian Boyd, both of Ceres, and Brenda Adams of Texas; her brother, Jack Tucker of Waterford; her sister, Faye McCaughn of Watsonville; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Boyd; five sisters; three brothers; and a grandchild.

Remembrances may be sent in her name to Miller's Place, 730 McHenry Ave., Modesto, CA 95350.
